PFA 2 seater at GoodwoodSubmitted by: Jason Porthouse Hotel Yankee is a Falconar F-11, similar to a Jodel 117. This is a loveley example, with low AF hours and a recently zero-timed O200 engine. She's just had her permit renewal and is in top-notch condition. Cruise is about 90kt, endurance some 5 hours, and will happily carry two with luggage. She's equipped with basic VFR instruments, a radio and that's it... simple, no-frills flying.
The group currently stands at five, with a group instructor willing to give tailwheel conversion for members. An internet based booking system is in operation, with a rotating 'priority week', but in practise this has rarely, if ever, been used.
Cost wise, we have a monthly charge of £85 covering insurance, hangarage and a contribution to an engine/maintenance fund. Flying is charged at fuel only - so between £19 and £25 ish an hour, depending on MOGAS or AVGAS - HY can happily run on both. This really is inexpensive flying!
There are two shares available, one due to relocation and one due to arrival of future potential pilot! This is an excellent chance to join a friendly, informal group with a great aeroplane in excellent condition!
