Pilot reviews of Glassonby Airfield

“This airfield is one of the best microlight fields I ever had the pleasure of visiting.

I called Robin, 2 days before we left for Spamfield 08 and asked if we could use the airfield and to see if he could assist our fuel needs.

We duly arrived on the Friday, Robin had left the fuel for us with a note to use what we need, he then turned up and let us have use of the clubhouse.... and what a clubhouse it is !....wonderful.

Tea and coffee was available and after a re-fuel we had a tour of the hangars.

This is a wonderful airfield and Robin is one of the nicest and friendliest blokes we had ever had the pleasure of meeting.

We will be back to use this airfield again in the not to distant future.

“A wonderful Microlight Airstrip. We used Glassonby on the 13/06/2008 as a re-fuel point on our trip from Ireland to the Isle of Wight for Spamfield. The owner is a gentleman and had fuel waiting for us when we arrived. The most beautiful club house I have ever seen is based here, and we were given a very warm welcome. Thanks for the Coffee.

Grass runway was very well kept.
