New road constructionSubmitted by: Winston M Thomas , Thursday, 31 May 2007 Construction has started on a new road around the active runway at Pembrey Airport to eliminate the Forest Commision and other private users crossing the acive Runway 22-04. This access will then be closed entirely on completion of this work. The constrution should be completed by June 29th 2007.
Work should start on the runway extention by August 2007 this will add 400m to the existing runway and we will be able to recover 200m on the 04 threshold giving us a total of 1400m of concreat runway 1200m + 100m of RESA each end.
