I flew in today as part of a "round the valleys" trip. The scenery is stunning once you get down to a thousand feet you really start to appreciate the very dynamic valley shape and the strongly regonignisable hills. The airfield is very easy to find as its on the main road into Abergavenny from the South East and is well maintained. A long strip with a crest in the middle I found myself in lift lift lift over the crest and the aircraft didnt want to come down. Reception was very welcomeing by the owner of the Flymap company who has office there and models on display. Definately worth a look now that Upfield Farm (Newport) is no more if you in the South Wales area
