Flew into Bourne Park from Kemble this summer. Took a minute or two to spot it but it has a straightforward circuit once you've found it. Runway quality was good albeit quite narrow with long grass on both sides - no issue in the 172 but if I was in a low wing I'd want to make sure I was right on the centre line. Very friendly welcome and several helicopter maintenance hangars to have a look around. Other than that, facilities are fairly limited, but given the excellent landing fee mentioned by others you couldn't ask for more. A good place to visit.

  • Landing fee / handling charges: 5
  • Friendliness of welcome: 5

I flew to Bourne Park today to deliver a bed to some relatives located nearby. Very friendly when obtaining PPR, useful information given about the runway. On arrival I found the runway easy to spot as it is between some trees. Avoid overflying the village to the North. The runway is narrow with Sheep on either side (fenced in), but it is a good quality surface and I didn't find it at all bumpy. I delivered my landing fee (a packet of biscuits) and found a really friendly bunch of guys, I only wish I had time to stay for a cuppa and a chat. All airfields should be like this, highly recommended.

Visited Bourne Park today - it has to be one of the friendliest airfields around!! My fellow aviator and I were greeted with a hearty handshake, shown around the hangars, introduced to all the pilots and made to feel very welcome!!
