Pilot reviews of Carpentras
We visited in December 2012 from Dinard (bladder-stretching stuff..).
No English spoken but O-Level French and a cheat sheet downloaded from the web got us in OK (don't be scared of this, small french airfields are very English-friendly).
The runway is long and very smooth, but the taxyway is weird (take a look at Google Maps) but can be explained by the fact that the glider runway in between the hard runway and the apron.
The Mistral can be very strong so tie your plane down!
On our return (we stayed a few days) they opened the back gate and let us drive our hire-car up to the plane to load up (Xmas shopping...).
Be a little careful with the Orange ATC they have some pretty restrictive airspace locally but speak English and are very happy to help.
All in all, hugely recommended.
