Pilot reviews of Charterhall Airfield

“ | Flew in to Charterhall in late August 2012. The runway is excellent, nice tarmac and nearly 1000 metres long. The downside is the taxi ways! They have apparently not been touched since the second world war and are consequently full of large potholes and covered with loose gravel the size of the ones used as railway chippings to support sleepers. A great shame as the airfield has plenty of potential for GA use but is not develpoed in any way. Not helped by the landing fee of £20. ” |
