Chilbolton Airfield

I'm based at Chilbolton so can vouch for the friendly reception visitors will get. Just £3 in an honesty box to land if you're a non-member of the club. No PPR required, just freecall on Safetycom 135.475. The runway is now regularly cut and tended although the grass parking area is still bumpy in places, so slow taxying is recommended. The low power lines running diagonally across the approach to r/w 24 are now marked with hi-vis balls along their length. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits etc stocked in the VIP lounge (club caravan) and proper toilets available on the adjacent industrial park.
