Flew into Clacton on 28th May 2021 in a PA28.

Landing fee now £15, paid on arrival in the control hut. As previous reviews have covered, a relatively short grass strip and a good telephone briefing is given before your first visit. Don’t be put off though, it’s a great place to visit and a Rapide was flying in and out when I was there! Friendly welcome and a very short walk, around 10 minutes, to the sea front. A very handy airfield to fly into if you fancy a stroll by the sea.
