Pilot reviews of Clipgate Farm Airfield
|“||I flew into Clipgate in June 2007 to visit my parents for the weekend. A lovely, friendly strip with a good surface - and certainly better than many strips I have visited. I would highly recommend Clipgate if visiting this part of Kent. |
|“||On the day we took our Wassmer in we had an 'interesting' landing straight into wind. You need to have it nailed and get down early - any float and seriously go round. Once committed the trees at the northerly end are quite daunting.
Take off - again the trees. They have been obviously cut to help exiting pilots. Anyone familiar with Sibson will know the feeling
As the website says short field flying experience is helpful.
Once down and taxied in it is a super little setup with the farm and caravan business - we were made very welcome
