The Crew Room Cafe has been open for about 2 years on the North side of the airfield (otherside to the control tower), next to the pilot centre.

Historically only machine drinks were available in the flying schools or a 3-course meal from Biggles restaurant. Now you can get a great cuppa or other basic fare for pilots and passengers that need topping up.

The Crew Room web site with details and menu is http://thecrewroomdenham.co.uk/The_Crew_Room/Welcome.html

Great indoor and outside seating overlooking the runway and aircraft.

It is open during normal airfield operating times.

    Winter: Monday to Sunday 08:30 - 18:00
    Summer: Monday to Sunday 08:30 - 20:00

Visited on 17/02/2018. Generally a nice airfield to visit but I was less than impressed with the air/ground radio operator. He seemed hellbent on trying to bully and intimidate pilots, even in the most critical stages of flights. Perhaps he was new to the role and doesn't yet realise that his job is to give information only, not to issue instructions, nor offer opinions or criticism over the radio. A wannabe air traffic controller methinks! Otherwise, a nice airfield with good café and friendly staff.
