“ | Dropped into Dieppe on way back to UK after a 4 day tour of France as it was the last clear coastal airfield before Le Touquet which was fogged in at the time.
Really glad we did - lovely airfield with an excellent hard runway and a tower (which is manned sometimes) plus a flying club.
Very easy to find the airfield as its on top of the hill overlooking the seaside town.
Calls ought to be made in French however at the time we were there a nice girl in the tower was able to cope with English as well.
Friendly and helpful - the flying club sorted out WX info for us which enabled us to get into Le Touquet and onwards to UK later that day. 100LL fuel is available for cash - a real advantage in France these days with the automated Total machines taking over. reasonable landing fee.
Only problem is that its no longer a customs airfield so no good as a point of entry or departure however still well worth a visit
