Dunkeswell Airfield (EGTU)
Dunkeswell airfield is full of history and is still generating plenty of interest. There is sky diving, wing walking (date/month to be confirmed)as well as various different planes visiting. We were especially delighted to see a spitfire fly in for a visit this last weekend and was lucky to help with moving it into a hangar. The Aviator cafe/restaurant has improved over time with a good staff team who are able to adapt meals to meet customers needs.their sunday carvery is a must with a good selection of meat and vegetables.I will be definately be visiting again.

In brief...
7 Oct 10: Landing fee update
Latest review
“ | Flew in from Blackpool and out to Newquay on 21 September. Lovely location with unusual, (but very sensible), taxi route to runway. Not covered in AFE plate or mentioned by A/G operator, but easy enough to figure out.
Food was excellent and quick and the outside seating very well set up. Landing fee at £12.00 for a DR 400 is a snip compared to many.
Interesting close location of adjacent gliding site if arriving from the north needs a little planning, but not any real issue. ” |
