    In brief...

17 Jan 11: Dunsfold welcomes GA traffic

    Andy Leahy - Rudgwick

I visited Dunsfold Aierodrome in Surrey on Friday, and was advised by the owners it is very much open for GA traffic.

With a 1.8km runway, multiple hardstandings, Jet/A1 and AVGAS, together with the all important Dakota Diner, Dunsfold has massive potential for the GA community. They currently operate biz jets and a dozen or so GA aircraft. There is a grass runway (800m) parallel to the main runway. With extensive hangarage it offers all the benefits one could ask for. PPR is a must - contact David McAllister on 01483 200900.

    18 Dec 10 - Cliff Shorter - Fareham

I flew into Dunsfold in my Weight Shift Microlight G - BZVV in June 2010. Having PPR`d I was met and welcomed very cordially on arrival. The runway is huge and in good condition. Facilities include a very pleasant cafe and a small yet delightful museum dedicated to the history of the aerodrome, there is also a static two seat Hunter displayed on the site.

Dunsfold appears keen to welcome microlights and it is well worth a visit - do PPR.
