Eaglescott is a short hop from Swansea, albeit over the waters of the Bristol channel. Was a hazy rather flustery gusty day when we visited and the field was quiet. We'd carefully put the site into the GPS having been warned it could be tricky to find. The radar "golf ball" was conspicuous though, and the hardest part proved keeping the field in sight in the circuit -- combination of grubby vis, and the fact it's a field among fields!
A warm welcome and invite to have a look around and wander through the hangars greeted us, along with the coffee.
Looking a bit tatty in places so possibly not one to impress the non-flying passengers with, but the club was stuffed with comfy, battered sofas and magazines and looked like a really friendly sit-and-chat place during the warmer, busier summer days.
The runway was in good condition despite a soggy winter but the directions from the radio were definitely helpful in finding the less-conspicuous taxiway.
Nice trip.
