Elvington - home of the Yorkshire Air Museum. What better way to travel than by aeroplane to one of Britains top museums?
PPR is required as airfield not always open, but fuel available by bowser if notice given. With around 3,000 meters of runway available, we just managed to squeeze the C172 in by landing on the numbers. As there were no other visitors that day, we managed to find a small space on the 47 acre ramp(!)
Yorkshire Air museum a delight and the NAAFI great in an old fashioned sort of way (in fact just the way I like them!)
