My first ever visit to Fairoaks, made on Monday 18th March 2019. I was given a detailed and helpful arrival brief on my PPR phone call having explained I would be approaching from Guildford. They are understandably focussed on "not above 1400ft" for an overhead join which all went smoothly, fitting in with the circuit traffic. On the ground, it was all very friendly, the landing fee was £27 and, being Surrey, lots of exec types on the apron together with the usual GA mix. It will be a real shame if this lovely, busy, atmospheric and historic airfield closes.
