“ | Garston Farm is a really excellent little airfield. Flew in today with 3 colleagues in a selection of light aircraft. Its very easy to find situated between the village of Marshfield to the North West and Colerne Airfield close to the South East. both of these are "no go" areas and its essential to get the briefing off of the website (as well as the required PPR call) I would say.
However its all straightforward and Colerne provided a really good ATC service when we visited - its blind calls on their frequency if they are not active.
The runway is in excellent condition, the reception from owners and residents was very friendly and we even had a cup of tea made for us. Landing fee is a donation and its one that we were very pleased to make. Certainly will return. ” |

“ | I visited Garston Farm in May '04 (I had business in Bath). Very friendly people and superb access into Bath. If you are getting a taxi you need to give them good directions (ask when you PPR) - mine struggled to find the Farm when he came to pick me up. ” |

“ | I visited Garston Farm from Dunkeswell (Quantum 582) on 13/7/04. Easy to navigate to and very close to old Charmy Down airfield. Garston is just inside (NE) of Colerne MATZ. Good flat and level well maitained runway with clear approach with good parking area. Owners very welcoming and superb spacious comfortable control/caravan with cooking and light refreshment facilities. L/fee £5:00 and well worth it. Close to village and worth staying the weekend. ” |

“ | I visited Garston Farm late last year and found it a great place. When I return to live in England it will infuence my home location.
I met a very nice crowd there - well done on keeping the place in such a good state. ” |

“ | We flew into Garston Farm on the 12/9/03 after downloading the instructions from the internet. These instructions are superb and if you get it wrong then there must be something far wrong with your navigation. We received excellent service from Colerne who kept us well advised of their traffic movements.
This airstrip was a delight to fly into with well kept runway. Mike and Geoff met us and gave us a trip around the hangars along with a ride into Marshfield: this is a village to be seen.
In summary the airfield and the owners were superb and this is a must to add to your fields to visit. We most certainly will be back. ” |

“ | If only every licensed airfield was as well-maintained as Garston Farm! Its runway is about as good as it gets, and its geology means that the strip is well-drained and thus useable in the winter at times when many others aren't. ” |
