Pilot reviews of RAF Halton
1 Aug 15 -
Dave Smith
“ | Halton is a busy airfield with flying training and gliding happening most days of the week. One point to note, when gliding is on there is NO deadside. If you do want to fly in then PPR is essential to deconflict with the numerous aircraft. The runways are long and well looked after with a huge windsock in The middle of the field. The 2 flying clubs present both have excellent facilities and are friendly and always on hand to give a hand should it be required. There is fuel available which is handy and well priced. ” |
