Pilot reviews of Halwell Airfield

“ | Halwell is a small microlight airfield just south of Totnes. strictly PPR and permit / microlight types ony. The South Hams Flying Club web site has very good info on the circuit restrictions and joining points etc.
The "circuit" is pretty challenging - essentiall a tight spiral descent over the north to the numbers and a 480m strip. Great fun when you get it right though. Probably not really for the inexperienced, especially in a Group A type a/c rather than a microlight.
cheap landing fee (donation), very limited facilties but strip in excellent condition. ” |
