Jersey Airport (EGJJ)
There are two rwys at EGJJ, 09 and obviously 27 and there are several reporting points around the rock too, depending where you're flying from. They are as follows:
From the North you will most likely to be asked to report at the "tv mast", which you can't miss, it's right in the middle of the north coast;
From EGJB it'll be the North West corner;
From the East you can either be redirected direct to final or asked to go by the South East Corner of the island;
From the South (LFRD/LFRT, etc) you would have to report at either Noirmont or Corbiere, Noirmont being south of the 27 threshold and Corbiere South of 09.
Being a Class "A" one would think that is a nightmare flying around here, but as long you contact the zone in time they just can't do enough to help you - they are a really nice bunch. If you're not sure about something give the aeroclub a ring and speak to an instructor.

In brief...
30 Oct 10: Jersey Airport NOTAM information
Due to the very limited use by GA aircraft under 3 tonnes of landing after 18:00 hours local time, last winter only 9 did so, the Jersey Aero club will cease to provide handling facilities after 18:00 hours for the winter operational hours of the airport (From 1st November to 31st March). GA aircraft are therefore encouraged to use the daily hours of 08:00 to 18:00.
After 18:00 hours GA aircraft will be directed by ATC to taxi to the FBO of Aviation Beauport (AVB). In addition to the Jersey Airport published landing fee of £4 per half tonne (with a minimum of 1 tonne), their handling charges are: up to 2 Tonnes £69.30 for up to 2 hours, £78.75 over 2 hours and £63.00 for a Tech stop. Over 2 tonnes £91.35, £119.50 and £89.50 respectively. Overnight parking will be charged by AVB according to size of aircraft.
Any aircraft using the AVB facility can of course next morning transfer to the Jersey Aero Club grass parking area for the published, up to 7 days, free parking. Locally based aircraft are exempt from the NOTAM.

“ | Fantastic airport to fly into. Flew from Bristol via BHD. Both Exeter and Jersey controllers were fantastic. Jersey allowed us to cross the water at FL70 inbound and straight up to FL75 on the return. Kept us nice and high (5,000ft) on the approach until in glide range of jersey and dropped us down to 2,500 just prior to glideslope intercept.
Jersey aero club were really helpful, filed the gendec and GAR prior to departure which made it easy. Can however file the gendec on arrival. Landing fee for a Cessna 182q was only £13 and parking all day was free. They are open until 8 which makes life easy. I would definitely suggest visiting Jersey. Will definitely be going back. ” |
