I recently visited Kirkbride Aerodrome whilst flying an X-Air and due to weather conditions I had to stop over, I was immediately offered 'overnight accomodation ' courtesy of the LAA Strut and this was a 2 night stopover before deciding to ditch the flight and return at a later date to continue the flight. On deciding to leave the X-Air there I was offered temporary hangarage by the LAA Strut.
The Gyrocopter School's Proprietor ran me to the train station and also collected me on my return visit from the Rail Station, I am highly impressed by the Kirkbride Aerodrome set up and will always use it from now on.
Well worth a visit and now has AVGAS onsite for GA Aircraft ( I was supplied with MOGAS from Chris Jones Gyrocopter's )
