Runway 09/27 is 5896 ft (1797 M) with a marked up slope at the start of 27 for the first 500 ft. The full runway distance is available for landing. For take-off from runway 09 the aircraft is to move forward to the white painted line 500 ft from the end of the runway before applying take-off power. There is no stopway at either end. Light aircraft and gliders may be using any part of the airfield. The runway is well marked including touchdown zone and fixed distance markings.
