Fri 12 Jul - Max Darsely

Flew here for a fueling stop on a trip to Sumburgh in Scotland in a C208, the landing fees seemed to have dropped slightly but to compensate the parking seems to have increased. £15 landing fee and a £50 handling fee, otherwise not too bad, I'm impressed, will stop by again!

  • Landing fee / handling charges: 4

Very convenient but expensive, cheaper if you up lift fuel. Cost me around £80 with handling, use it for regular business meetings so hoping for some discount!

Was hoping to visit Leeds for a business trip in a C172. Rang Multiflight to get prices for landing and handling. Present costs for a 172 are..... £20 landing fee, £40 handling fee and £8 parking, plus VAT which makes £79.90 total. They obviously do not want light aircraft visiting them! I have always found ATC helpful when passing or even crossing their zone, i think passing by is the best option unless you have just won the lottery.

I visited on 13 Jan 2005. ATC and Multiflight were both very friendly and helpful (I'm not a regular "big airport" flyer) but the handling and landing fees are very expensive (although things are a bit better if you lift fuel). Excellent access to the North York Moors.
