Pilot reviews of Mitchells Farm Airfield
“ | Visited this private field on Saturday 11th February 2006. PPR was required, but the owner was very helpful, and happy to take visitors.
The grass strip is quite long (800m) and in the middle of a crop field (none were growing at present!). It is flat and in common with most grass strips, a little bumpy, but nothing too much. It was difficult to pick out the strip at first, as there is a similar coloured strip almost next to it. You need to remember that the hanger is adjacent to it, ans then it stands out OK. One big bonus, it's Free!...but no facilities, but as I was visiting friends nearby, was picked up and whisked off! As private fields go...great! ” |
