Pilot reviews of Norton Malreward Airfield
“ | Norton Malreward airfield is a friendly, quiet, attractive village destination. The grass strip was well maintained, being long and confortably wide enough for my Grob 109B (by comparison an overhead of Clutton Hill confirmed it would perhaps, be a more challenging proposition for a TMG...) Norton Malreward strip sits atop a small hill with a rising hill line to one side and drops down to the remaining sides - as a novice, I found the variations and discontinuity of approach levels interesting... Finally, a 'thank you' to the owner/s of Norton Malreward airfield for their hospitality and also the anonymous Bristol Approach traffic controller who got me there safley. August 2011, Frank Waller. ” |
