I have flown up to Oxenhope several times and each time the welcome has been warm and friendly. The runways all need a bit of care, but nothing to worry about. The longer runway is best although it is undulating (but firm). The shorter runway is quite short - even for my Sportcruiser. Short field technique is a good idea here. Best to use the longer one (29/11). Taxy on the runways as the other areas can be damp and therefore suspect. The locals operate out of a mobile home and will invite you in for a coffee and a chat. One of them even drove down the road in his tractor to help my daughter in law find the airfield! All straight out of last of the summer wine - but great fun. Oxenhope International (as the sign on the hangar says) is a great place to visit. Call the number on the web site for a briefing.
