Flew into Conington on 27 October to take the greyhounds for a walk. It's been five years since we were last here, but the airfield and café were as friendly as ever.

After refuelling, we had to park on the grass behind the club house because, although this was a Friday in October, the aircraft parking and café were absolutely heaving. (Mind you, it was one of those superb autumn days when it would have been rude not to fly if you had the chance!)

As before, we went for a walk and the roads and paths were nice and quiet. The dusk/night flight back to Blackpool finished off a truly lovely visit. Conington is a great destination with reasonable prices, a GREAT café and very friendly. Highly recommended.
