Pilot reviews of Rayne Hall Farm Airfield
I visited Rayne Hall Farm in the late summer of 2016 In my Titan Mustang , we had a very friendly welcome, a very interesting place to visit & we hope to visit again soon, Andrewsfield airspace is very close & at one point in the circuit, a very well kept airstrip, we parked up for the afternoon whilst visiting friends & felt the aircraft was in safe hands whilst away.
Stopped off here on the way to Elstree from Bagby in June in a C172 with 3 POB. Just thought I'd say that not much has changed since the last review. Was a friendly place to stop in at. My ony complaint is that on the approach I noticed someone was flying a model a/c above the other end of the runway. At this stage a go around seemed just as risky because of the erratic behaviour of the thing. Would be nice not to have to worry about that next time!

Unlike may grass strips its straightforward to find - its just east of Andrewsfield (so watch out for their zone and traffic) and immediately est of Braintree
A nice long runway in good condition and some interesting aircraft based there. blind call required so don't expect an answer. open approaches.
No real facilities but tea was on offer.
Good airfield for the pilot who wants to get into farm strip flying
