This airfield has been used by several light aircraft for several years. It has a hard surface runway in good condition and is privately owned by a local land owner.
The recent retirement of two regular pilots from flying due to old age and the death of the senior land owner have brought about the using of the runway by a motoring organization thereby stopping any flying except when the runway is not in use by the organization, a hit and miss situation as far as flying is concerned.
In my opinion this airfield is a missed opportunity as far as general aviation is concerned which should have been seized years ago.
