I flew into Shoreham last Sunday. ATC was very good and after landing directions to the parking spot were very clear. The spot was also easy to locate due to signs on the grass.

The welcome was friendly when booking in with an apology for the landing fee! This was higher than I'm used to but, to be fair, I don't usually fly into airfields with full ATC etc.

I bought lunch in the terminal and ate it in the outside seating area. It was a busy afternoon with lots of movements which were easily viewed and photographed.

Mid afternoon I thought I'd have a look at the visitor centre and museum only to find that it closed at 15:00. When I got home I checked the website and the opening times were quite clear so it was entirely my fault for not checking but I would definitely recommend confirming the times in advance if you're planning a visit.

After booking out departure was as straightforward as arrival, again with excellent ATC. Being used to a farm strip I very much appreciated the long smooth runway!
