| “ |  26 AUG 15 - Mid-week flight into Swansea from Thruxton in G-CGVC Called to PPR, very friendly and was on my way. Tracked over BCN with a Basic Service from Cardiff Approach (who were excellent) and then down into Swansea. Swansea A/G service were very good too. Airfield is large and easy to find. Runway good but the apron is in need of some TLC, as are the facilities. Airfield was pretty much empty, Skydive Swansea were not operating that day so only a handful of people using the facilities. Landing fee is now £18 (incl VAT) which I think is a little expensive given the facilities or lack thereof. Compared to Lydd £21 (incl VAT) for example. Maybe lowering the prices a little would attract more landings, the scenery in the area is beautiful and I am sure the airfield economy would benefit. ” |
