The road which now crosses the main runway was not marshalled, and pilots on approach were greeted with cars casually buzzing across, regardless of aeroplanes. The Army personnel helping to run the event did not seem bothered about this.
No toilet facilities available so had to find the nearest discreet bush! Hot tea and chilli or burgers were provided by the army for a modest £2.50 and soemwhere in the region of 50 aircraft arrived on the Saturday when we visited.
This is a truly friendly event and one I highly recommend attending next year, remember it is only one weekend each year this rare airfield is open so get it in the log and have a good trip.
