In brief...
6 Oct 10: Free landings
In order to generate a little more traffic on what are usually fairly quiet Sundays, as well as aiming to keep our cafe busy during the cold winter months, Turweston will be offering FREE LANDINGS on two Sundays in November.
As it seems obligatory to have a theme for fly-ins nowadays we have decided that:
Sunday November 14th will be a 'FIXED GEAR & ALL-COMERS FLYIN'
Sunday November 28th will be a 'RETRACTABLES & ALL-COMERS FLYIN'
The airfield will be open as usual from 10am to 4pm, please check the website for our noise abatement circuit. The amount of movements will not be limited on those two days so 'come one, come all' !

4 Mar 09: Planning / PPR note
There is no longer a restriction on the aircraft types since the results of the public enquiry was published. However, strict PPR remains as movements are still restricted.

“ | Used to go on this airfield as a young person on my monkey bike when I lived in Brackley.Moved to Devon In my 20's.Now with my PPL in hand late summer 2003 this was one of the first airfields I had to visit.Firstly I notced it has changed a great deal from when I was 10,secondly I wasn't chased away.(by Albert)Quite the opposite in fact.
I uploaded more than 60 litres of fuel so my landing fee was wavered.and the fuel is quite a bit cheaper than my home airport (Exeter)so all was good there. quite a large number of my family was there to greet me and nobody minded that. Nice little tea shop.Very helpful on the planning for the return journey home.weather and wind etc.so all in all a pleasure to visit.in fact I returned the following week. and will do alot more in the future. The only thing that court me out was the runway being quite narrow crosswind landings can be tricky also I felt I was higher than I was on approach so a little look now and again at one of those clocks and you will be fine. also hinton-in-the-hedges about 5 miles to the south-west where there is constant parachute activity especially at weekends.
