We woke up to lots of snow today - very picturesque!!

Been to Wycombe for a second time in the last 6 months. Excellent airfield, very friendly ATC and a fine bar/restaurant.

A MUST VISIT airfield !!

Here is an example of some wonderful views that pilots get during exceptional weather conditions. In the distance in Didcot Power Station, just poking up through the Fog.

Big smiles after an aerobatic session in 'GL, BAFC's DHC-1. Being upside down is a truely awesome experience and highly recommended for anyone who hasn't tried it yet. Not so keen on tail-draggers on the ground.

(I don't have my PPL yet, but some friends bought me a voucher...)

I did some flying training recently at Wycombe Air Park. I can certainly agree with Chris Schofield, the circuit does get very busy. I recall with morbid fondness the time we synchronised the approach with a silent glider - we were on the hard runway, short finals & they were landing on the adjacent parrallel grass runway... all very exciting stuff. As a trainee air traffic controller, I salute the guys and gals in the tower... stirling job chaps!
