AFISO Vacancy

Shobdon Airfield, the home of Herefordshire Aero Club Ltd near Leominster, situated in rural Herefordshire on the English/Welsh border, has a vacancy for part-time Aerodrome Flight Information Services Officer (AFISO).

 

Shobdon Aerodrome operates seven days per week (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day) and is open from 9am until 6pm Monday to Sunday and Public Holidays.

 

Normally one AFISO is rostered to be on duty throughout each day, the ATSU hours of watch are currently 0900-1630. You will be rostered for weekends on a zero hour contract however there is likely to be a minimum of two weekend days per month offered, with the opportunity from time to time for non-compulsory weekday duties to cover leave, etc. The roster is produced for 3 months at a time enabling flexibility.

 

The ideal job holder will:

• Hold a validated Aerodrome FISO licence.

• Have previous experience as a FISO or ATCO

• Hold a satisfactory medical certificate for the role
