Hi. I suppose the biggest breakthrough on the whole Panshanger issue since 2012, has been the admission by TWU that the Rye Meads Sewer Network has insufficient capacity and what that means in layman's terms is that 7 Boroughs/Districts including Welwyn Hatfield, Broxbourne, East Herts & Stevenage has insufficient room to send any more waste water aka what we flush, to Rye Meads. This evidence came out after THDA submitted a developers enquiry last year. TWU also have stated that they can accommodate 17000 homes in the same catchment but in the 2009 WCS it was given as 6400 for the catchment.
Beginning of next year is the Government Inspector looking over the Local Plan and Boy! he has his work cut out, as it won't be a walk in the park; I hope he comes prepared, I will be.
