I loved that Peter. I was there with you! It's been many years since I ventured south and I am no longer IMC current and my aeroplane is not IFR equipped so I would need a good VFR day to venture forth. I mainly stopped crossing the Channel in my 172 when I became fearful of an engine failure with my young children and wife on board. It was amazing how sensitive I became to the least change in the engine sound. The thought of ditching and getting my family safely out into a liferaft became too much and it was some years before my wife and I, dressed in full immersion suits would leap the pond when visiting friends near Dinan. I look forward to more of your videos, thanks, James.
