Here's an update at 12th April:
GASCo are planning to run a Safety Clinic. 1 to 1 discussion on a safety issue of importance to the pilot. Take part and receive free goodies. The theme is mirrored on a medical clinic. Make an appointment when you arrive and you will have your consultation, be given your safety prescription and pills to take. It's a light-hearted format for a serious topic. Give it a go.
Unfortunately, The Met Office have had to pull out due to other priorities at Heathrow.
Some flying arrival slots are still available, although peak times are full. You can book for 0900 to 0930, around 1130 and there are plenty of slots for the afternoon sessions after 1210. Times are local. Call the tower 01223 833376.
The weather forecast for the weekend is looking better (fingers crossed) and I will do an update on Saturday morning. However, if you can't fly, you are still welcome to drive. Drive to the main entrance on the A505, 100m W of the M11/A505 junction, go into the entrance and follow the signs. Park in the corporate event car park and walk into Airspace (the big hangar). Tell the reception team that you couldn't fly, but your aircraft is Gxxxx and you have driven instead.
