Why has my classified advert / photo / other content not appeared on the site?

Your items do not appear on the site immediately, but instead go into a publishing queue.  The content will appear before long.  

How can I edit my advert?

There is currently no way to edit your classified advert.  You will need to remove the existing one (see below) and submit a new advert.  

How do I remove my classified advert?

You will need to log into the site, and then find your ad.  In the advert you'll see a link titled "Click here to remove this advert".  You will also get a reminder email about your ad periodically until it's removed.  If your advert is recent, you can find it by clicking through from your ad in the classified bulletin email. 

My user details don't work; what can I do?

The most likely reason is that your password is not what you think!  You can request a password reminder email.  Once you log in, you can change your password to something more memorable.  

You may also have changed email address, but not updated the site.  In this case, please use your old email address to log in, then update the details in the top-right menu (the one with your name on).

Can you add our organisation to your directory?

Yes!  Well, probably, if it's GA-related.  Just send us your details through the Feedback system and we'll get to it. 

How can I unsubscribe from emails?

Each email we send has information about why we sent the email and details about how to unsubscribe.  Many emails can be unsubbed using our Email Subscriptions system.  We aim to add everything to this eventually, giving you one place to manage all site emails.  

When you first sign up to UKGA, you will automatically start to receive our weekly news and classified bulletin.  You can switch this off if you want, using the Email Subscriptions page.

We ask that everyone receive our periodical newsletter, because we use it to keep you informed about site developments, competitions, features, etc.  It also helps to fund our free service to you.

Certain emails will be sent while you are using a feature of the site.  For example, while you have a classified advert in place, we send you reminders about it from time to time until you remove the advert.  Also, we encourage UKGA users to get in touch with each other directly through the site, so these emails can not be switched off currently.

How can I unsubscribe from UKGA as a whole?

We'll be sorry to see you go, but just use the Feedback system and we'll get on to it.  Please bear in mind that this is a manual process and might take a few hours or a day or two to action, e.g. at the weekends.
