Chance to play golf with RAF Red Arrows & BBMF
Play a round of golf with pilots of the RAF Red Arrows and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) to support fly2help, a charity which supports people facing life-limiting illness, tragedy or life trauma.
This is the message being sent out to amateur golfers who can meet the RAF teams at a special golf day at the Kendleshire Golf Club near Bristol on 28 September 2010.
The world famous Red Arrows and the BBMF are ready to play golf with anyone who wants to try their skill against the superb co-ordination of the RAF's world class aerobatic display teams.
As a nominated charity of the RAF Red Arrows & the BBMF, the day is to raise funds exclusively for fly2help – the Gloucestershire based charity that supports people facing life-limiting illness, tragedy or life trauma. Both teams have donated their time & resources to offer all-comers the chance to play golf with them so that those in need can benefit from the gift of flight.
Golfers can opt to create an exclusive team of three players with the addition of a Red Arrow or BBMF team member, or they can choose to support individual or a pair of places towards another team. There are also sponsorship opportunities for the longest drive, nearest pin, or hole sponsorship. Teams must book their games in advance – application forms can be downloaded in PDF format from http://www.fly2help.org/about-us/reds-golf-day.pdf
Mandy Pantall, Marketing and Fundraising Director of fly2help, says: "For the second year running, the Red Arrows and BBMF are supporting our charity with an exclusive event that is open to amateur golfers - we are honoured to be in such a position & most grateful for their support. To be able to offer places out for a round of golf with these teams is a rare chance for anyone, and entrants can also enjoy the added bonus of supporting fly2help in its work with some very brave and special people."
After playing golf, players can enjoy some socialising with the Red Arrows and BBMF over an early-evening two-course dinner, raffle and prize giving. Also present will be Mandy Shepherd, aviation artist & Patron of fly2help. Mandy has kindly painted a special one-off picture to help raise funds at this event.
