PPL training at Oxford
Oxford Aviation Training based at Oxford Airport has launched a brand new range of flight training courses for the Private Pilot (Fixed Wing and Helicopter). Ranging from the UK National PPL to specialist courses in aerobatics and tail-wheel conversions, these courses are delivered using the same training facilities and aircraft that are used for their professional pilot training courses. This now means that OAT is able to offer the aspiring pilot a complete range of training courses commencing with a trial lesson through to a full Airline Pilot Preparation programme (APP). Further new Flight Instructor training courses will be launched in the autumn.
Anthony Petteford, Managing Director for Oxford Aviation Training, states: “This ongoing expansion and diversification of our range of pilot training courses demonstrates our commitment to offer high quality one-stop-shop training solutions to our customers irrespective of which licence or rating they wish to obtain. Supported by our parent company, the BBA Group plc, we will continue to invest in new flight and ground training courses as well as state-of-the art training facilities.”
The launch of these new courses coincides with parallel developments in the field of computer-based training (CBT) courses produced by the OAT Design and Development Team especially for the trainee PPL. Branded under the 'Skills for Flight' series and available through OAT and Transair Pilot Shops, these fully self-contained interactive CBT courses now cover the entire ground and flight training syllabus for the trainee Private Pilot. CBT to cover the Night Qualification, UK IMC Rating and Instrument Rating will be available in the New Year.
