Air Safaris introduces Aussie Circumnavigator tour
Air touring company Air Safaris International has announced a new tour offering – the Aussie Circumnavigator.
Participants in this all-inclusive dream trip will embark upon a grand tour of some of the most spectacular coastline in the world. Along the way they will have many opportunities to see the unique flora and fauna of Australia and to travel to remote areas not visited by most travellers.
After travelling to Australia by scheduled flight, the first leg of the tour will start in Brisbane in late March 2012 and will track south to follow the coast in a clockwise direction for 3300nm before arriving in Perth. The second leg will begin after an extended stopover in Perth and continue the clockwise track for 4200nm before returning to Brisbane in early May.
Participants have the option of signing up for one or both legs. The total time for the complete trip is 42 days.
As with other Air Safaris International offerings, this trip is designed for both pilots and non-pilots who are interested in an unusual holiday. Participants will be able to fly low and travel at a pace that allows them to see the country close up, and there are numerous multiple-night stopovers to allow participants to have an in-depth experience of this unique continent.
The Air Safaris International team has been delivering small-group flying holidays since 2004. Routes, accommodation and on-tour activities are selected to give group members a wide range of experiences. Pilots fly as PIC. The groups are escorted by a local Lead Pilot and a Tour Director, who take care of all the logistics, so that the tour members can focus on just enjoying their holiday.
For anyone interested, there are spots available on both legs of the 2012 trip and there is still time for pilots to get their paperwork done.
