LAA to introduce a Vintage flavour to its AeroExpo presence
AeroExpo UK (25-27th May 2012) will once again host the ever-popular Light Aircraft Association (LAA) homebuilders' area at this year's event, which for the first time will also highlight the organisation's Vintage and Classic aircraft activities.
The LAA is well-known as the organisation that looks after amateur-built aircraft, incorporating everything from a simple single seat machine to a state-of-the-art, 200mph four seat Van’s RV10.
Many people are less aware, however, of the LAA's role in looking after a large number of the UK’s Vintage and Classic aircraft fleet, which the LAA says can offer some of the most enjoyable and cost effective flying available.
In association with the LAA's oldest Associate Member Club, the Vintage Aircraft Club, the this year at AeroExpo UK the LAA will be highlighting its Vintage and Classic aircraft activities with a display of representative aircraft. The Vintage Aircraft Club aims to provide a focal body for owners, pilots and enthusiasts of vintage and classic light aircraft by arranging fly-ins and other events for the benefit of its members. It is affiliated to the LAA, supports the General Aviation Awareness Council, and has representation with the Historic Aircraft Association.
