Latest Photos
To add your own photos to an airfield, it's really helpful to us if you use the new links on the airfield pages (on the right-hand menu and the airfield photos pages). You can also upload a photo here if it's of a more general nature.
Please include a title if you can, or a location. A bit of narrative is also useful. If you want us to allocate a photo to an airfield, please put the airfield name in the location box for us. Thanks!![]() |

Flew into Finmere on 10 June from Turweston, an eight minute flight. I had wanted to fly into here a few years back but could never get PPR. This time a lovely lady approved PPR and provided all the info I needed. Cars were using the runway for testing, but moved out of the way both in and out and gave a friendly wave.
I spoke with a few of the people based there who seemed a very friendly lot and sat on a lovely bench under the shade of a tree watching the world go by. Although there was nothing much at the airfield, the location is nice and rural and would work for a picnic!
The runway was in good condition and a nice taxiway to park near to the hangars. Watch out for the wooden fences which are close to the edge of the taxiway. Other than that, yet another really nice destination that I may come to again and explore a bit further.

Flew into Clacton on 28th May 2021 in a PA28. Landing fee now £15, paid on arrival in the control hut. As previous reviews have covered, a relatively short grass strip and a good telephone briefing is given before your first visit. Don’t be put off though, it’s a great place to visit and a Rapide was flying in and out when I was there! Friendly welcome and a very short walk, around 10 minutes, to the sea front. A very handy airfield to fly into if you fancy a stroll by the sea.
