Location: RoserrowJust spent a few days at The Point (formerly Roserrow) rented one of their chalets which was superb. Not cheap but they did waive the landing and parking fees. The runway was well cut and tidy but does slope slightly down from East to West and up from both ends so can be difficult to keep perspective in the hold off. The road that now crosses the runway is far from flush with the grass surface and is particularly marked if approaching from the South. I fly a 912 Skyranger and there was more than enough grass north of the road but when leaving I went and taxied across it and found I needed 4500 revs to get up from the grass to tarmac going north. Definitely a ski ramp if you touch down before and cross it at any speed.
The bushes have now grown up to be level with the bottom of the windsock which was broken in that it could not swivel on the pole.
If you camp under the wing landing with overnight parking is £29 which also gives you access to the health club facilities. We used the gym sauna pool and steam room. All in beautiful surroundings so well worth an overnight.
