I had never been to Llanbedr until 2018. I have now lost count of the number of times I’ve been there in one year.

The approach is exciting. The runways are vast. The scenery is breathtaking.

The place has been desolate, but is slowly growing. Joyfully, there is self service 100LL in the NE corner of the airport, near the giant hangars. The friendly café is accessed via a portakabin which straddles the security gate. The new flying school http://www.flysnowdonia.com is a welcome addition to the airport.

Highly recommended: The Spitfire burger in Ellie’s ‘Jindvik’ Café named after the dramatic-looking drone aircraft.
